Business Development Manager

Job description: Our client is a global provider of FM Services across a range of market sectors. With a successful and growing security systems division, they are considered to be one of the top 10 security companies in the UK. With NSI Gold accreditation, they provide manned security, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems.

A new opportunity has arisen for a Business Development Manager to sell electronic security solutions to new B2B customers. This role is best suited to a new business focussed individual with strong networking, relationship building and communication skills.

Key responsibilities:
· Generate new installation, maintenance and monitoring sales across the South East & London territories within end-user, contractor and specifier markets
· Prospect for new security system opportunities e.g. CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder etc within existing and new target markets
· Ensure the presentation of competitive bids/proposals within the specified timescales and company pre bid protocols.
· Actively identify and targets new opportunities - maintaining an accurate database, pipeline and records using the company CRM system.
· In conjunction with sales support, conduct security risk assessments (surveys) and produce detailed system designs using company estimating tools and proposals documents.
· Work with operations teams toward the satisfactory installation of customer security system(s)
· To attend sales meetings, ensuring that the required level of preparation is completed

Key requirements:
· An understanding of the electronic security b2b market – Access Control, CCTV, Intruder Detection
· The ability to design and estimate electronic security systems from stand-alone through to integrated solutions
· Demonstrable and progressive record of new sales or account development within end-user markets
· The ability to persuade and influence
· An understanding of professional or structured sales process
· The ability to present and communicate in a professional manner
· The ability to plan and organise
· PC literacy – PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Word
